Mount Moses & Saint Catherine Trip

The Mount Moses and Saint Catherine trip is one of the most famous spiritual and adventurous experiences in Sinai, Egypt.

The trip usually starts at night, when we travel to Saint Catherine in order to climb Mount Moses, also known as Mount Sinai. The climb takes around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the pace of the group and the route.

There are two ways to reach the summit. The first is the Camel Trail, where visitors can ride a camel for most of the way and then walk the final part. The second is the Steps of Repentance, a challenging route with thousands of stone steps.

We normally reach the summit before sunrise so that we can enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the top of Mount Moses. The view is spectacular, especially when the mountains are illuminated by the first light of the day.

After watching the sunrise, we descend the mountain and visit Saint Catherine's Monastery, one of the oldest continuously operating Christian monasteries in the world. The monastery is located at the foot of Mount Sinai and is an important religious and historical site.

Inside the monastery, visitors can see ancient religious icons, manuscripts, and historical buildings. The monastery is also famous for the Burning Bush, which is traditionally associated with the biblical story of Moses.

After the visit, we have some time to rest before returning to our destination.
